How To Get A Resource Pack in 1.14!:
About this video: This is our step-by-step guide on how to make a Minecraft 1.14 server. After you set up a 1.14 server in this video, you will know exactly how to play Minecraft 1.14 with friends without using Realms. You need to know how to set up a Minecraft server in order to play Minecraft 1.14 with your friends. Luckily, that is exactly what we show you how to do in this video! Thus, let’s go ahead and jump right on into our complete guide on how to make a Minecraft 1.14 server!
The first step of making a Minecraft is very simple. You need to download the Minecraft 1.14 server software from Mojang. You can find the link to the official Minecraft server download page in the description above. Once you are there, simply click the green link called ‘mineraft_server.1.14.jar’. After that file has downloaded, you need to create a folder to host your server in. This folder can be called anything, but we’ll call it ‘Minecraft 1.14 Server’ just for ease of use. Now move the file you downloaded from Mojang into it, and double click on the ‘minecraft_server.1.14.jar’ file. This will download a file called ‘EULA.txt’. Open the EULA file with notepad, go to the EULA link, and if you agree with it, change ‘EULA=false’ too ‘EULA=true’. Save this document and close it.
Now, if you want to play with your friends from anywhere in the world, you need to port forward. Port forward is very easy, and I have helped millions of people port forward for Minecraft servers over the years. First, you need to stop your server. You can do this by typing ’stop’ in the text box that it opens up and hit enter. This will close out of the server command/console box. Now, in order to port forward, we need to find your default gateway, which we do in the video and type that into your browser. This will pull up a login box that you enter your router’s login info into. Once you are in your router, you will need to find ‘port forwarding’, ‘apps and gaming’, or something else like that.
After you find the port forwarding section of your router, you will need need to forward port ‘25565’ on both the TCP and UDP protocols. You will usually have an option for ‘both’ or ‘TCP/UDP’. If you have that, choose it! Now, you just need to go back to your Minecraft server folder, select the ‘server.properties’ file, and add your IPv4 address next to server IP. Save your server.properties file, and start your 1.14 server! Your server is now setup! Just join your 1.14 Minecraft server through your public IP!

Whenever I download the jar file it just comes up at server in my file. Not server.jar
5 minutes more like 17 minutes
great video and resources! was able to complete it with ease
Thanks so much! It was hard because Mojang just can't make playing with your friends easy. But thanks for walking me through it so I can now play!
Stop advertising your server
yo you're inability to mention the pay wall on apex stinks of shrill.
Does this work for windows 10 edition??
I kept double clicking the bat, but nothing was working. Everytime he said run the bat, I clicked on the jar file and it worked.
Excellent guide, now my next question is how do you add mods and the like to the server that you host yourself. Along with the users that plan on joining that server, must they download the .jar files to use those mods also?
now the link to download the server is for 1.15 and i want 1.14.4 so idk what to do, any help
thanks dude worked for me awesome vid!
I can’t believe i did it 😭😂
if u can't get eula to run, install java 64 bit (or 32 bit if u have Windows 32 bit) — ended up working for me. If that doesnt work, click Start>type %appdata> click the .minecraft folder> click options.txt> manually type and add 'fboEnable:false' Then try to run the run.dat file
why cant i join using my public ip address
