The first step of making a Minecraft is very simple. You need to download the Minecraft 1.14 server software from Mojang. You can find the link to the official Minecraft server download page in the description above. Once you are there, simply click the green link called ‘mineraft_server.1.14.jar’. After that file has downloaded, you need to create a folder to host your server in. This folder can be called anything, but we’ll call it ‘Minecraft 1.14 Server’ just for ease of use. Now move the file you downloaded from Mojang into it, and double click on the ‘minecraft_server.1.14.jar’ file. This will download a file called ‘EULA.txt’. Open the EULA file with notepad, go to the EULA link, and if you agree with it, change ‘EULA=false’ too ‘EULA=true’. Save this document and close it.

Now, if you want to play with your friends from anywhere in the world, you need to port forward. Port forward is very easy, and I have helped millions of people port forward for Minecraft servers over the years. First, you need to stop your server. You can do this by typing ’stop’ in the text box that it opens up and hit enter. This will close out of the server command/console box. Now, in order to port forward, we need to find your default gateway, which we do in the video and type that into your browser. This will pull up a login box that you enter your router’s login info into. Once you are in your router, you will need to find ‘port forwarding’, ‘apps and gaming’, or something else like that.

After you find the port forwarding section of your router, you will need need to forward port ‘25565’ on both the TCP and UDP protocols. You will usually have an option for ‘both’ or ‘TCP/UDP’. If you have that, choose it! Now, you just need to go back to your Minecraft server folder, select the ‘server.properties’ file, and add your IPv4 address next to server IP. Save your server.properties file, and start your 1.14 server! Your server is now setup! Just join your 1.14 Minecraft server through your public IP!
