The original Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 never made the mark it should have. Despite following on the heels of the celebrated XPS 13, the 2-in-1 model always felt more like an awkward sibling than its own product.
All that has changed.
The XPS 13 2-in-1 has a new identity, marked by a redesign that takes steps in some very interesting directions. Not only has it received a striking redesign, it’s also the first device to use the long-awaited 10th-gen Ice Lake processors from Intel. With a starting price of $999, the XPS 13 2-in-1 looks and feels like a new chapter for Dell.

can you guys review hp envy x360 (2019 amd ryzen 5)
Has anyone bought it? How is the keyboard and heating issues. I did bought the previous HP Spectre 360 but returned it in two days due to the flimsy keyboard and sticky keys. In summary, the previous HP Spectre was garbage material.
How about note taking with this device, please someone reply
Hackintosh it!
Anybody with even a modest level of pc knowledge will steer clear of any laptop that has a soldered on board SSD drive. Because Hard drives will eventually fail, and when they do you'll need to buy a new laptop instead of simply replacing the SSD drive. Its sneaky by the manufacturers, and it will cost DELL in sales.
So would you recommend this 2in1 as a portable coding station for someone who travels a lot?
Calebs baby is due any day now
Dell xps 13 2in1 VS Microsoft Surface Book 2 13
Please do that ! these the only ones are worthy of a serious comparison.
couple of questions.
1. What model is this,. I thought the previous model is 9830 etc.? which doesnt have the swivel feature?
2. Does this come with 4k cam etc? if not, what is the diff between the previous one and this one.
3. Is this better than the new Surface 3 13inch?
4. Is this model the best compared to the previous model?
Definitely need a XPS 13 2in1 vs Spectre x360 13 vs Yoga C940 showdown.
Nobody seems to mention response times. I had the 4k panel and the ghosting was awful, especially the smearing on grey or darker backgrounds. I'm not really sure how people aren't mentioning this?
Soldering = no go.0
DELL XPS 13 2-IN-1 Platinum Silver, Arctic White interior IS THE BEST.
I don't need 4k.
I don't want 1080p
I need 1440p!!!
Dells MagLev keyboard is nothing like (in both performance and reliability) Apples garbage keyboard butterfly mechanism
Sponsored… Acer swift 3 hives all the same features at half the price
I was interested in it, but all is soldered so it a no go for me even can't upgrade SSD, that's a shame.
That's ugly. Everyone would rather get an Apple. Don't get anything that calls itself a XP
How about a smackdown with the new HP Spectre x360 13T? Sooner would be better than later!!! Cheers!
This laptop is great for travel photographer.
Any thoughts on Lenovo C940?
Please make a surface pro 7 vs XPS 13 2-in-1
Thanks!
Compare this to the spectre 360
This is definitely a contender for my Wallet!
"…isnt gonna wobble…" – B-Roll of it wobbling 😀
I just ordered the Dell XPS 13 2 in 1 with Core i7 and found out the new HP Spectre 360 13 is coming soon. Is there a better one of the two?
I've got the icelake xps 2in1. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get the 1080p screen with more than 256GB ssd and 8gb ram in the UK, would have ideally like to double both of them. Also for some reason at the time of ordering there was only the black interior, would have preferred the all white. Small things I know but when you're spending £1.5k+ the small details should matter. Still I'm very happy with the system, I use it primarily for studies, it's small, lightweight and premium build quality are all huge pluses and when sitting next to others the brightness and quality of the screen is amazing.
So its only for browsing
The only reasons I will buy this over standard xps 13 are no front facing branding and edge to edge keyboard, we share choices here.
Hi, nice review, can you make a video reviewing the new 13 XPS with the intel 10710u 6 core processor and clarify how much fast it is, compared with a 4 core processor, in multitasking like lightroom photo edition with a lot of large raw files??
MSI Prestige 14 blows this out of the water. Faster CPU by 30%. Faster GPU by 300%. Cheaper. Double the ports. Only downside is 16:9 aspect ratio but that's not the end of the world.
The very shallow keyboard is the one reason why I'm not considering it as a buy. Waiting for an in-depth review of the HP Elite Dragonfly 😉
